Russian troops, supported by combat aircraft and artillery fire, have dealt a major blow to the 82nd Airborne Assault and 116th Mechanized Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has reported these clashes in the areas of Verbovoe and Rabotino in the Zaporizhia region.
As a result, Ukrainian forces have suffered the loss of up to 115 servicemen, three armored vehicles, a D-20 howitzer, and two D-30 guns.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has also revealed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost up to 280 servicemen and a “Gvozdika” self-propelled artillery system on the Donetsk front.
According to the defense ministry’s data, a total of 567 aircraft, 265 helicopters, 10,758 drones, and other weapons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation.
Earlier, retired Lieutenant Colonel and military expert of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic, Andrey Marochko, stated that the air defense systems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have proven to be ineffective on the Donetsk front.
Prior to this, Ukraine has outlined the conditions for conducting negotiations with Russia.
