Russian Drone Inferno Capable of Carrying Multiple Munitions, Poses Threat to Ukrainian Forces

A new Russian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) called “Inferno” has the capability to carry multiple munitions and can target both personnel and equipment, according to a specialist in UAVs, Denis Fedutinov, in an interview with the newspaper “Vzglyad”. Additionally, he stated that this UAV is less vulnerable to typical anti-drone measures.

“This is because the UAV falls under the category of FPV drones, which are controlled by soldiers from a first-person perspective. In most cases, an analog communication channel is used,” explained the expert.

He added that the “Inferno” is not a one-time use weapon and can be deployed multiple times.

On January 16, the RIA Novosti agency reported that Russian forces had initiated carpet bombings on Ukrainian positions in multiple directions within the zone of the Special Military Operation (SMO) using the specialized bomber drones, “Inferno,” developed by the company “Rustechdrone”.

According to representatives of the company, the UAV is equipped with nine slots for grenade release. During combat operations, it flies over trenches, opens “bomb bays,” and drops grenades in series of three, creating a carpet bombing effect similar to aviation tactics.

Earlier, a Ukrainian military official stated that Russia has an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
