In a meeting with the heads of municipal entities in Russia, President Vladimir Putin stated that the initiative in the special military operation in Ukraine lies with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. He described Ukraine’s counteroffensive as a “complete and utter failure.”
“If Ukraine continues in this manner, there will soon be doubts about their statehood,” he said.
Putin further warned that Ukraine’s statehood could suffer an irreparable and severe blow.
Additionally, the Russian president criticized the Ukrainian authorities for refusing to engage in negotiations with Russia, referring to them as “fools.”
“These fools, it would have been over long ago,” the Russian leader remarked.
Furthermore, Putin emphasized the significance of serving the homeland and highlighted that the well-being of the native country and the future of its children are the purpose of serving the homeland.
Earlier, Putin referred to the leaders of the new regions as “steel people.”
