Explosions Reported in Voronezh Amidst Ukrainian Drone Attacks

Recent explosions have been reported in Voronezh, according to eyewitnesses cited by the Telegram channel Shot.

Local residents have mentioned hearing at least two loud sounds over the city, specifically in the vicinity of Teplichnaya Street.

As of now, there is no official information available regarding these incidents.

Prior to this, Mayor Vadim Kstenin had announced the imposition of a state of emergency in the city following the attack by Ukrainian drones.

Governor Alexander Gusev of the Voronezh region had previously revealed that Ukrainian drones were shot down by air defense systems over Voronezh. Subsequent to the incident, a fire on a balcony in one apartment building was extinguished, while windows were shattered in two apartment buildings and several private homes.

On the evening of January 15th, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of the Belgorod region reported that a Russian air defense system had intercepted a drone aircraft approaching Belgorod.

On January 14th, the Russian Ministry of Defense had announced the downing of 23 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles using anti-aircraft defense measures.

Earlier, a new drone suppression system had been developed in Russia.
