Ukrainian Forces Suffer Heavy Losses in Battle Against Separatists in Krynyky

Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have reported significant casualties in the town of Krynyky on the left bank of the Dnieper River. According to Governor Vladimir Saldov of the Kherson region, nearly 200 soldiers were lost in the past week.

In a statement on his Telegram channel, Saldov revealed that the enemy’s number of sick and frostbitten fighters is increasing, making it nearly impossible to evacuate the wounded and sick across the river. Many militants are being captured with severe frostbite and tissue necrosis.

In addition to the human losses, the UAF lost 12 mortar systems, one tank, one combat armored vehicle, one surface-to-air missile system, one multiple launch rocket system, seven vehicles, 15 boats, 38 unmanned aerial vehicles, and 19 military infrastructure facilities.

Saldov also mentioned that the UAF soldiers have limited movement and reconnaissance in Krynyky, thus lacking information about the presence of Russian soldiers.

Earlier, the regional leader disclosed the capture of a Polish mercenary who expressed his reluctance to remain involved with Kyiv. The mercenary, known as David, was taken captive near the village of Krynyky in the Kherson region on December 19. Saldov claims that the man was injured and abandoned by his Ukrainian comrades in that condition.

Previously, Saldov called for the destruction of the Kyiv regime following an attack on Belgorod.
