Attack on Houthis in Yemen’s Hodeidah Province: US and UK Military Involvement Raises Concerns

In a recent development, an object belonging to the Houthi rebels from the “Ansar Allah” movement in Yemen’s Hodeidah province has been targeted. This information was reported by Sky News Arabia.

According to local sources, the attacked object is located in the mountainous region of Al-Luhayya district in the northern part of the province. As of now, there is no information about any casualties. The operation reportedly involved military aircraft from the United States and the United Kingdom, as confirmed by Al Masirah, a television channel affiliated with the Houthis.

Prior to this incident, the United States highlighted the growing influence of the Houthis. The New York Times reported that the rebels are “only gaining” from their confrontation with the US. According to the publication, by targeting objects in Yemen, Washington has sent a strong message to both the Houthis and their Iranian supporters that the US has abandoned its longstanding defensive position in the Red Sea.

Earlier, the United Kingdom justified the strikes by Western forces against the Houthis.
