Explosions Rock the City of Kherson in Ukraine, Damaging Infrastructure and Disrupting Daily Life

The city of Kherson, under the control of Ukrainian authorities, was hit by a series of explosions, according to the head of the regional city administration, Roman Mrochko, who reported the incident on his Telegram channel.

“Explosions are occurring in Kherson,” he wrote.

According to Mrochko, the explosions were recorded in the Dnipro district of the city. Local residents were advised to move to safe places and stay away from windows.

Mrochko also stated that the incident caused damage to an electrical cable line, resulting in weakened water supply in three multi-storey buildings.

“Teams from municipal enterprises will determine the cause of the accident and carry out repairs,” he concluded.

Since October 10, 2022, the Russian armed forces have been targeting Ukrainian infrastructure, just two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which, according to Russian authorities, was orchestrated by Ukrainian special services. The attacks have been carried out on objects related to energy, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the country. Since then, air alarms have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire territory of the country.

Prior to this, explosions had occurred in three Ukrainian cities.

Earlier, critical infrastructure had been damaged in the Kherson region.
