Russia’s Use of Varied Weaponry in Ukraine Confirmed, Excluding Nuclear Arms

Russia’s Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, has stated that the Russian army has utilized weaponry with various payloads in Ukraine, with the exception of nuclear arms. This announcement comes after a series of recent successful strikes on military targets in Ukraine, which serve as evidence of the effective operations of the Russian defense industry in 2023.

Speaking at a meeting of the military-industrial complex working group, Medvedev emphasized that different carriers with diverse payloads were employed, excluding nuclear weapons for now. In late December, Medvedev identified the shift in the Ukrainian regime as one of the objectives of a special military operation in 2024. Prior to this, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, in his New Year’s address, declared that the plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had been shattered. He praised the Russian army for its indomitability and predicted that the departing year would be remembered for its heroic acts.

In early January, Medvedev criticized France for refusing to condemn the strike on Belgorod, expressing his dissatisfaction with their stance.
