Russia’s Defense Industry Projects to be Under Special Control, Medvedev Emphasizes Timely Execution

In a recent meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, highlighted the need for special attention to be given to the implementation of investment projects aimed at expanding the capabilities of the defense industry complex (DIC). This statement was published on the social media platform “VKontakte.”

Medvedev stressed the importance of timely execution of these investment projects. To ensure accountability, the ministry will be required to submit monthly reports on the progress and deadlines for project completion.

During the discussion on armaments, Medvedev emphasized that Russia had utilized various types of weaponry, excluding nuclear arms, during special operations. He stated that the recent successful strikes on military targets in Ukraine demonstrate the effective work of the Russian DIC in 2023.

Medvedev also announced that all planned deliveries of highly demanded weapon systems, which were scheduled for last year, have been completed.

Previously, Medvedev responded to France’s decision not to condemn the strike on Belgorod.
