Ukrainian Armed Forces Suffer Heavy Losses in Battle, Losing Tanks and Experienced Soldiers

The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have suffered significant losses in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, specifically on the Southern Donetsk front. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, more than 170 soldiers and two tanks were lost in recent clashes.

In a statement released by the Russian Ministry of Defense on their Telegram channel, it was reported that the coordinated actions of the “Vostok” group of troops, supported by aviation, artillery fire, and heavy flamethrower systems, successfully repelled two attacks by the 79th Air Assault and 72nd Mechanized Brigades of the UAF near the town of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

The military department also revealed that, in addition to the human casualties, the UAF lost two tanks, three armored combat vehicles, and four vehicles. Russian forces also damaged an enemy self-propelled artillery installation called “Gvozdika” and a multiple rocket launcher system called “Grad.”

Recently, analysts from the American publication Wall Street Journal concluded that the UAF has suffered significant losses among its most experienced soldiers. The article notes that the Ukrainian troops’ counteroffensive has come to an end before it could even begin.

Earlier, a captured soldier from the UAF stated that trust in President Zelensky’s leadership has dwindled among the ranks.
