The survey findings align with a Reuters/Ipsos poll published in September, where over three-quarters of respondents believed that President Biden, as the oldest chief executive to serve, is too old to be president. The same poll also revealed that in a hypothetical election, Biden and former President Trump would be tied. Adding to this sentiment, a JPMorgan strategist predicted that Biden might drop out of the 2024 race due to health reasons.
Despite the concerns over Biden’s age, some participants expressed their preference for him over former President Trump.
