Russian Tank T-80BVM Joins the Battle in Ukraine’s Special Military Operation Zone

The latest Russian tanks, T-80BVM, have recently made their appearance in the special military operation zone in the Zaporizhzhia direction, and they are already actively participating in combat. The tank commander with the call sign “Stavropol” provided his evaluation of the new equipment, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“We received a new, upgraded T-80BVM tank with reinforced armor protection. From concealed firing positions, we shoot, and it is highly effective. The tank is new, and it hits the bullseye with the second shot,” said “Stavropol.”

He noted that they haven’t engaged in combat with enemy vehicles yet, but their crew has already destroyed several strongholds.

According to the commander, the tanks continuously support infantry during assaults, which not only ensures the effective engagement of targets but also has a positive effect on the morale of the Russian Armed Forces soldiers.

Previously, the maneuverability and speed of the T-80 tank were praised in China. Experts have noted that this tank stands out from many competitors in the arms market due to its gas turbine engine, while most tanks from Russian and Western design schools use diesel or gasoline engines.

Earlier, the United States identified one of the greatest threats to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
