The Russian Armed Forces have undergone significant developments and have grown even stronger since the initiation of the military operation in Ukraine, according to an interview with Professor John Mearsheimer from the University of Chicago on the YouTube channel Judging Freedom.
Mearsheimer explains that the conflict compelled Russia to enhance its military capabilities through various means, including increasing troop numbers, improving training, and modernizing weaponry. Consequently, Russia now possesses a more formidable military force.
However, the professor argues that the United States’ decision to engage in the conflict in Ukraine was a disastrous mistake. The sanctions imposed on Russia failed to have the desired effect, and instead, Russia has expanded its military-industrial complex, significantly tipping the balance of power away from Kyiv. Mearsheimer asserts that “the Ukrainians are destined to lose,” a fact that is clear to rational individuals.
Retired General Ben Hodges, former Commander of the United States Army in Europe, has previously warned that the worst-case scenario for Ukraine is gradually becoming a reality. He believes that the Ukrainian forces are ill-equipped to withstand the massive attacks by the Russian Armed Forces due to a shortage of ammunition.
Earlier reports revealed the extent of military casualties suffered by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk region.
