Thousands of Palestinians Killed and Injured in Israeli Military Actions, Hamas Official Claims

The deputy leader of the Hamas movement, Osama Hamdan, has stated that over 30,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank have become victims of Israeli military actions since the start of the armed conflict between Israel and Hamas. This information was reported by TASS.

Hamdan emphasized that in the Gaza Strip, 29,722 people have lost their lives, including at least 10,000 children and 7,000 women. He added that over 58,000 people have been injured, and at least 7,000 are still missing.

Furthermore, he noted that on the Palestinian territories of the West Bank, the number of casualties in clashes with Israeli military forces has reached 321, with 111 of them being children.

Prior to this, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that the United States rejects the statements made by Israeli officials calling for the relocation of Palestinians outside of Gaza. Palestinians should have the opportunity to return home as soon as conditions allow, according to Blinken.

Earlier, Israel held talks with Congo regarding the “voluntary” relocation of Gaza Strip residents. On the same day, the European Union’s chief diplomat, Josep Borrell, condemned the Israeli authorities’ call to develop a plan for the movement of Gaza Strip residents outside the enclave.

Previously, a political analyst identified one of the reasons for the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
