British analyst Alexander Mercouris has claimed that Ukraine and its Western allies were left shocked by a series of attacks carried out by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian strategic targets, resulting in the destruction of two Patriot missile systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). He made these remarks during an interview on The Duran YouTube channel.
According to Mercouris, the major attacks on December 29th and January 2nd were “absolutely devastating.” The analyst believes that Americans, Ukrainians, and their Western allies were taken aback by these strikes.
Mercouris asserts that there is a substantial amount of information indicating that at least two Patriot installations were destroyed during these attacks. He added that Russian forces were able to target numerous Ukrainian strategic facilities, military infrastructure, and equipment.
Prior to this, retired British Colonel Richard Kemp stated that NATO is delaying weapon deliveries to Kiev due to doubts about its victory and Moscow’s planned attack on NATO.
Earlier, Zelensky revealed the challenges preventing Ukraine from shifting the conflict to Russian territory.
