Pence Criticizes Biden’s Campaign Focus on Jan. 6 Riot, Citing Administration’s Poor Record

In a recent interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” former Vice President Mike Pence accused President Biden of using the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol as a distraction from the failures of his administration. Pence, who was visiting families affected by the Oct. 7 attack in Israel, argued that the upcoming 2024 presidential election would not be decided by the tragic events of Jan. 6, but rather by the detrimental policies implemented by the Biden administration.

Pence expressed his concerns about the administration’s record, stating that it has weakened America both domestically and internationally. He criticized the Biden administration for launching the worst inflation and creating the worst crisis on the American border in history. Pence questioned why Biden would choose to focus his campaign on events from three years ago instead of addressing the pressing issues facing the nation today.

The former vice president also highlighted Biden’s attacks on former President Trump in response to the underperformance of the White House’s “Bidenomics” messaging. During a speech in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, Biden accused Trump of “trying to steal history” just as he had allegedly tried to steal the election. Pence criticized these attacks and argued that removing Trump from presidential ballots, as seen in Colorado and Maine, would undermine democracy.

Pence also addressed the recent hospitalization of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, which was kept secret for nearly a week. He expressed his concern over the leader of America’s military being out of commission while allies are at war in Eastern Europe and Israel, calling it a dereliction of duty. Although Austin is now recovering and has resumed full duties, the reasons for his hospitalization and the handling of the situation remain unclear.

Pence concluded the interview by emphasizing the importance of transparency and the American people’s right to know about their leaders’ medical conditions and the decisions made in their absence.

This article provides insights into Pence’s criticisms of President Biden’s campaign focus on the Jan. 6 riot, highlighting the former vice president’s concerns about the administration’s record and its impact on the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Pence’s remarks shed light on the challenges faced by the Biden administration and raise questions about the transparency and decision-making within the government.
