Russian Armed Forces have dealt a major blow to the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. This information was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
According to the report, the forces of the “Vostok” task force destroyed over 90 fighters, two combat armored vehicles, and six automobiles.
On January 6, it became known that the Russian Armed Forces repelled four counterattacks by assault groups of the 30th and 32nd Mechanized Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Synkivka, Kharkiv Oblast.
Prior to this, former Colonel of the Ukrainian Security Service, Oleg Starikov, stated that the number of Russian strikes on targets within the country’s territory would increase.
It was also reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost more than 280 servicemen on the Donetsk front.
Senior Officer of the Central Group Press Center, Leonid Sharov, stated that the artillery of the Russian Armed Forces in the Krasnolymansky direction hit over 100 targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Earlier, the Czech Republic stated that Ukraine’s and the West’s greatest fear had begun to come true.
