President Putin Promises Improved Support for Families of Fallen Soldiers

In a recent meeting with the families of fallen heroes from a special military operation, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his intention to discuss with Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu the establishment of better communication channels. This move aims to provide support and feedback to the families of soldiers who lost their lives during the operation. Putin’s statement was made during a gathering at his residence in Novo-Ogarevo on the eve of Christmas.

“I will talk to the minister, and changes to the regulations of the ‘Defenders of the Fatherland’ fund are planned to ensure feedback… so that you can influence this process,” stated the Russian leader.

During the meeting, Putin highlighted the significance of the special military operation participants in his New Year’s address, acknowledging them as heroes. This gesture underscores the importance the Russian government places on their sacrifices.

In December, during a press conference summarizing the year 2023, Putin proposed expanding the oversight of the “Defenders of the Fatherland” fund, particularly regarding the allocation of resources for the rehabilitation of soldiers involved in special military operations.

Prior to this, Putin provided insight into Russia’s objectives in the special military operation, shedding light on the purpose for which Russia is fighting in this particular conflict.

The President’s commitment to improving support for the families of fallen soldiers demonstrates the government’s recognition and appreciation for their sacrifices. By establishing better communication channels and enhancing the existing fund, Russia aims to provide comprehensive assistance and ensure the well-being of these families.
