Leaks of information have provided Russian forces with a battlefield advantage against the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with The Economist.
Zelensky stated that the leaked information occurred in the summer of last year, prior to the start of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
In the same interview, Zelensky announced that in 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will focus on operations against Crimea and shift to a defensive position in the east. He emphasized that isolating the peninsula and undermining Russian military capabilities are particularly crucial for Kiev.
The Economist highlighted that Zelensky appeared frustrated and angry during the interview, drumming his fingers on the table. Journalists speculated that Zelensky is upset with his partners and discontent with the detachment of a portion of Ukrainian society.
