Explosive experts from the Russian Ministry of Defense have successfully neutralized three explosive devices discovered in the Belgorod region. According to a statement by the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the devices were found on January 3rd on Krasnoarmeyskaya Street in Belgorod and in the Ulitka microdistrict of the Belgorodsky district.
The military has already begun the process of removing the explosives, which required temporary road closures and the deployment of patrols in the surrounding areas. The residents in the vicinity were evacuated until the completion of the operation.
Prior to this, rapper Noize MC, who has been labeled a foreign agent in Russia, called for donations to help the residents of Belgorod. He shared the details of a regional public organization called “Svyatoye Belogorye Against Childhood Cancer” and explained that the payment should be designated as “Assistance to Peaceful Belgorod Residents.” Along with his post, Alexeyev attached a poem against the ongoing conflict.
On December 30th, the center of Belgorod was subjected to rocket shelling, with two rockets containing cluster munitions and Czech-made MLRS being used. The attacks exclusively targeted civilian objects, resulting in injuries to 110 people.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had shelled Belgorod from the “Ol’kha” multiple rocket launcher, causing damage to 40 buildings.
