Russian forces in the Lipetsk region successfully neutralized a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), according to the region’s governor, Igor Artamonov. The Ukrainian drone was discovered in the Lipetsk district and was rendered harmless using radio-electronic warfare (REW) systems. There were no casualties or infrastructure damage reported.
Governor Artamonov also reminded residents of the region about the “Radar” mobile application, which allows individuals to report any suspicious unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This information will be promptly relayed to the authorities, enabling immediate action to be taken.
This incident comes after the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out one of their most extensive attacks on Sevastopol. The governor of the city, Mikhail Razvozhaev, provided details on the aftermath of the attack.
The Ministry of Defense has reported that Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 10 Ukrainian guided missiles over the Crimean peninsula. The city was under an air alert for an hour and a half.
Prior to this incident, threats of retaliation against Russia for the explosions in Ukraine were made from President Zelensky’s office.
