Retired German General Predicts Decisive Turn in Ukraine Conflict by 2024

Retired Lieutenant General of the German Armed Forces, Roland Kater, has made a significant statement regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. In an interview with the YouTube channel Welt, Kater emphasized that the year 2024 will be a turning point in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. He believes that the new year will determine whether the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) will be able to regain the initiative.

“We must be realistic in our assessments. Currently, I see that the initiative lies with the Russians,” stressed the retired lieutenant general.

Kater also speculates that the question of peace negotiations may be resolved by the end of December 2024.

This statement comes after former advisor to US President Ronald Reagan, Doug Bandow, wrote an article for The American Conservative, stating that the US has completely lost faith in Ukraine’s victory and is therefore pushing Kiev towards negotiations with Moscow. According to Bandow, President Biden has abandoned the idea of Ukraine’s victory.

Earlier in the US, the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive was acknowledged.
