Ukrainian Armed Forces Bombard Belgorod, Causing Extensive Damage

The city of Belgorod has been targeted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) using the multiple rocket launcher system “Olha,” resulting in significant damage to residential and commercial properties. According to Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod region, 20 private houses, six apartments in multi-story buildings, 12 commercial structures, and 13 vehicles were damaged in the span of a day.

Gladkov reported that the city experienced over 370 rounds of various weapons, including mortars, grenade launchers, and machine guns. Although populated areas of the region were targeted by the Ukrainian military, no casualties have been reported.

The governor stated that the 20 private homes, six apartments, and 12 commercial structures suffered varying degrees of destruction. Additionally, 13 vehicles were also damaged.

According to Gladkov’s information, the UAF conducted more than 70 attacks on populated areas within the same day. In the Belgorod district, two artillery shells were fired towards the village of Zhuravlevka, while four explosive devices were dropped by a drone in the same village. The UAF also targeted the village of Solntsevka with a drone kamikaze attack, as well as the village of Nekhoteevka with two drone kamikaze attacks.

On December 30th, the UAF struck the center of Belgorod. Initially, Governor Gladkov reported that 25 people were in critical condition. However, the Ministry of Health later confirmed that the number of injured from the bombardment had risen to 131.

Earlier, those affected by the UAF attack on Belgorod began to be discharged from the hospital.
