However, the driver chose to flee, leading to a pursuit.
During the pursuit, a Dane County deputy deployed a tire deflation device, causing the vehicle to crash in the nearby town of Cottage Grove. Unfortunately, all three occupants of the vehicle lost their lives at the scene.
