Increased Number of Checkpoints in Kiev Region to Issue Draft Notices to Draft Evaders

The commander of the Kiev region, Ruslan Oleynik, has announced that draft notices will be issued to draft evaders at recently established checkpoints in the region. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.

According to Oleynik, if a police officer identifies through the database that an individual is wanted for draft evasion or if their identification information is not restored in the territorial center for conscription and social support (military commissariat), a draft notice will be issued to the citizen.

It was previously reported that the number of checkpoints in the Kiev region is increasing.

Earlier, the head of the Kiev City Military Administration (KCMA), Sergey Popko, stated that the checkpoints in Kiev were established for training purposes.

The scenario assumes that temporary checkpoints will be set up throughout Kiev, with restrictive signs and engineering elements installed.

A representative of the Kiev City Military Administration (CMA), Mikhail Shamanov, denied the distribution of draft notices at checkpoints in the city.

According to him, the CMA does not have any information about draft notices being issued at checkpoints. Shamanov noted that information regarding the locations and possibly issued draft notices should be obtained from the district territorial centers for conscription (TCC).

Earlier, Deputy Bezuglaya proposed candidates for the position of the new Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF).
