Deadly Shelling in Donetsk on New Year’s Eve, DNR Leader Blames Ukrainian Forces

In a tragic incident, four people were killed and thirteen were injured as a result of shelling in Donetsk on New Year’s Eve, according to Denis Pushilin, the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR). Pushilin shared this information on his Telegram channel.

Initially, Pushilin had reported three fatalities, but the death toll rose to four. He also mentioned that all the injured individuals were receiving medical assistance.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) carried out the shelling, targeting the city center, as well as the Kalininsky and Budennovsky districts. Pushilin expressed concerns that the shelling could happen again at any time.

The DNR representation in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) of military crimes committed by Ukraine reported that fifteen rockets were fired at the center of Donetsk from multiple rocket launch systems immediately after the New Year began.

Previously, the United States identified one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
