The governor of Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, has reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have shelled the center of Belgorod. In a statement made on his Telegram channel, Governor Gladkov revealed that two children have tragically lost their lives as a result of the shelling, and there are also reported injuries. He emphasized that the UAF targeted residential areas and promised to provide further details at a later time.
On December 30, Gladkov announced that Ukrainian military forces had conducted more than 90 shellings on the Belgorod region within the past 24 hours.
On the same day, the governor also disclosed the destruction of several aerial targets approaching Belgorod and the Belgorod district, utilizing anti-aircraft defense systems.
On December 28, it was reported that a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone attacked the village of Mokraya Orlovka in the Grayvoron district of the Belgorod region.
Prior to these incidents, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) had informed that a fire had occurred at the “Kvil” paint and varnish materials factory in Belgorod.
Previously, the UAF had shelled a settlement and an animal farm in the Belgorod region.
