Russian Air Force Implements New Tactics to Protect Bombers

A military expert and director of the Air Defense Museum, Yuri Knutov, has revealed the Russian Air Force’s new tactics for operating bombers. According to Knutov, the bombers will now be accompanied and protected by Su-35 fighter jets, as shared in an interview with “Lenta.ru”.

On December 29, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that a Su-35 fighter jet successfully defended the bombers during a special military operation against aircraft from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“Now our frontline bombers will be escorted and protected by Su-35 fighters, equipped with a powerful radar capable of detecting enemy aircraft and long-range air-to-air missiles from a great distance,” stated Knutov.

This new approach, as explained by the expert, allows for the elimination of the enemy even before they realize they are under attack.

Earlier, Sergey Aksenov reported on the situation in Feodosia following an attack by the Ukrainian Air Force.

On December 26, train schedules between Janke and Feodosia were altered after a port attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Previously, the Ukrainian Armed Forces denied receiving the first batch of F-16 aircraft from Kiev.
