In a recent development, employees of the territorial centers of conscription (TCCK) in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine have been given the power to verify citizens’ documents and belongings, according to local publication “Strana.ua.”
The article states that additional measures of martial law have been implemented in the Sinelnikovo and Dniprovsky districts. However, according to journalists’ information, the regional administration’s directive goes beyond just document and belonging checks by the military commissariat staff.
Furthermore, special entry and exit regulations have been introduced in the mentioned districts. This order entails restrictions on the freedom of movement for individuals and vehicles.
Additionally, military commandants are expected to be established in the Dniprovsky and Sinelnikovo districts in the near future. These commandants will be led by the heads of the territorial centers of conscription, as specified in the publication.
On December 28, Ivan Vygovsky, the Chief of the National Police of Ukraine, commented on the initiative, which could grant law enforcement officers the authority to independently serve citizens with summons, without involving the military in the process. The expert opposed the idea and emphasized that each structure should focus on its own work.
Earlier in Kyiv, there were discussions regarding the distribution of summons at checkpoints.
