Russian military forces have successfully destroyed fortified positions and personnel of the Ukrainian army on the Kupyansk front with the use of self-propelled artillery units (SAU) “Msta-S.” This information was provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense, as reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the military, the artillery division of the artillery unit eliminated the masked fortified positions and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) located 17.5 km away, using accurate fire from the “Msta-S” SAU. The destruction of the enemy was confirmed through objective control means.
The commander of the “Msta-S” unit, with the call sign “Shayba,” stated that the artillerymen always relocate after delivering strikes. He emphasized that this is a daily practice.
The necessity of constant movement for the SAU was also highlighted by the unit’s mechanic and driver, with the call sign “Nikotin.”
Previously, it was reported that the grenade launchers of the “Vostok” troop group on the South Donetsk front use 82 mm mines to target enemy strongholds.
Earlier reports indicated that Russian paratroopers and special forces have begun training in the use of NATO weapons.
