Neglect of Civilian Expertise in Ukrainian Armed Forces Raises Concerns

Ukraine’s military conscription offices have been criticized for disregarding the civilian expertise of conscripts, resulting in valuable experts being assigned to regular infantry units. This revelation was made by Miroslav Hai, a representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in an interview with “Pravda” television channel.

According to Hai, citizens are currently conscripted through territorial recruitment centers, with no consideration given to their civilian experience and skills.

Hai shared an example of encountering an engineer on the frontlines who had expertise in designing self-propelled artillery in civilian life. Such an individual would have been highly valuable to the artillery division.

Additionally, Hai highlighted that ordinary machine gunners often include specialists in engineering technology, who are highly esteemed in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

This week, Mikhail Sheremet, a member of the State Duma from the Crimea region, claimed that a Ukrainian Armed Forces officer essentially revealed classified information by acknowledging Russia’s damage to the Ukrainian military industry.

Specifically, Ukrainian sniper Konstantin Proshinsky admitted that the highest casualties among Ukrainian troops during the conflict occurred on the Bahmut front.

Earlier, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that Russia had an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
