Ukrainian authorities and their western partners have claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) are equipped with modern armored vehicles on the frontlines. However, German journalist Julian Repke has revealed that Ukrainian soldiers are actually using old civilian cars, highlighting a dangerous situation on the ground.
“Anyone who has been on the frontlines with Ukrainian soldiers knows how precarious the situation is,” he warned.
According to Repke, the soldiers are forced to travel, including in their own extremely outdated vehicles, in areas along the contact line where western-standard armored vehicles would be an absolute necessity. The journalist attributed this situation to a lack of spare parts for western military equipment.
On December 22, Ukraine complained about Russia’s failure to deliver fighter jets to the UAF.
Prior to this, Alisa Jung, a reporter from the German TV channel ZDF, noted that UAF fighters are exhausted from combat operations, and Kiev is facing a shortage of both servicemen and ammunition.
Earlier, a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) pointed out the emergence of panic among the UAF ranks.
