Russian forces have made significant advancements on the Donetsk front, with support from aviation and artillery fire, improving their position along the front line. According to the Ministry of Defense, Russian troops successfully repelled 43 attacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) assault groups.
The statement from the Ministry reports, “The units of the 28th, 30th, 42nd, 93rd mechanized, and 57th motorized infantry brigades of the UAF in the areas of Kurdiumovka, Klescheevka, Krasnoye, and Andreevka of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) have been subjected to fire damage.”
The losses suffered by the UAF have exceeded 1,610 personnel. Russian forces have destroyed three tanks, 17 armored combat vehicles, the HIMARS launcher, 24 vehicles, and 44 enemy field artillery pieces.
This week, a Russian airborne unit has taken control of a strategic point of the Ukrainian Armed Forces northwest of Artemivsk.
The Ministry of Defense revealed that during aerial reconnaissance, Russian military personnel identified the locations of the UAF’s main firepower and command posts.
