The Russian Armed Forces have successfully defended against 17 attacks launched by Ukrainian troops in the Donetsk region over the past 24 hours, according to the official Telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The “Southern” group of forces, in coordination with army aviation and artillery, effectively withstood the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) and inflicted damage on Ukrainian military personnel and equipment within the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
The attacks took place in various areas, including Bogdanovka, Belaya Gora, Artemovo, and Georgievka. Ukrainian units suffered significant losses, with up to 210 soldiers and three pickup trucks being disabled during the combat operations.
Furthermore, Russian soldiers disabled three self-propelled artillery systems (ACS) “Akatsiya” and two “Gvozdika” complexes. The UAF also lost one D-20 howitzer and an AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radar station, which was manufactured in the United States. In addition, Russian military forces destroyed one AS-90 ACS produced in Britain.
These recent developments have further escalated tensions between the two sides. Earlier, due to shelling by Ukrainian soldiers, two cities in the DPR were left without gas supply.
