Israeli Defense Forces Destroy Hamas Tunnel Network in Gaza

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have successfully destroyed a network of tunnels with offices belonging to Hamas leaders in Gaza. This significant development was reported by the official Telegram channel of the IDF.

On Wednesday, the IDF discovered a terrorist infrastructure created in the “elite neighborhood” of Hamas in the city of Gaza. This infrastructure included a large network of strategic underground tunnels, connecting shelters and offices belonging to the top military and political leadership of Hamas. Today (Thursday), this tunnel network was destroyed in a controlled manner, as confirmed by the press office of the Israeli Defense Forces.

The Gaza sector is home to a significant number of intricate tunnels constructed by Hamas as part of their strategic defense plans to protect the Palestinian enclave from the IDF. Many of these tunnels are equipped with everything necessary for autonomous operation over extended periods of time, and most are effectively protected against conventional means of destruction.

It is worth noting that the President of Israel had previously criticized the humanitarian activities of the United Nations in Gaza.

Earlier, both Russia and Turkey called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza sector.
