Ukrainian Governor Predicts End to Armed Resistance in Ukraine by Spring 2024

Governor Yevhen Balitsky of the Zaporizhzhia region has made a statement to RIA Novosti, expressing his belief that the organized military resistance in Ukraine could come to an end as early as spring 2024.

According to Balitsky, the Ukrainian army, much like the country as a whole, has failed to fully establish itself. He notes a significant decline in the offensive potential of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), as well as a lack of ammunition and sufficient training.

Furthermore, Balitsky states that Ukrainian forces are hardly engaging in active offensive actions in the Zaporizhzhia section of the front.

Bild, a German publication, has reported that Russia plans to continue military operations in Ukraine until 2026 and aims to capture the cities of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro. The reliability of the publication and the duration of the military campaigns, as well as the expectations for the UAF in the near future, are explored in an article by military analyst Mikhail Khodarenko for “Gazeta.Ru.”

Earlier, a proposal was made in Russia to establish a mechanism for integrating captured UAF personnel into civilian life.
