Ukrainian Forces Suffer Heavy Losses in Donetsk as Russian Defense Ministry Reports

In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian Armed Forces have reportedly lost up to 250 soldiers in the Donetsk region, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense in their Telegram channel.

The summary provided by the defense ministry states, “The enemy’s total losses in this direction amounted to up to 250 servicemen.”

The defense ministry also revealed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost one tank and three vehicles in the aforementioned direction.

Furthermore, units of the Southern group of forces successfully repelled an attack by Ukrainian army assault groups near the village of Shumy in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and inflicted damage on the enemy near Klescheevka, Kurdyumovka, and Maryinka in the DPR.

Yesterday, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian artillery strikes hit areas where Ukrainian Armed Forces were concentrated in the Kherson region, resulting in up to 75 Ukrainian servicemen being affected.

Earlier, a Ukrainian military official stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces needed to retreat from “unfavorable positions.”
