In a heartbreaking incident, a New York City mother discovered her two five-year-old twins dead in their family’s apartment on Monday evening. The New York City Police Department responded to a distressing 911 call at 240 East 175th Street around 11:20 p.m., where they found the brother and sister unconscious and unresponsive. The children were reported to be “foaming at the mouth” when their mother found them.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived at the scene and declared the children deceased. The mother, whose identity has not been disclosed, informed the police that her children had been vomiting, and she may have given them Tylenol. Law enforcement authorities do not suspect any foul play in this tragedy.
NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny stated that the mother was actively involved in her children’s lives, including their medical care and schooling. Neighbors described the family as quiet and loving, with the mother being a doting parent. Chief Kenny emphasized that, until the medical examiner provides further information, it appears to be a medical tragedy.
