Ukrainian Forces Retreat from Positions on the Frontline

The advisor to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Yan Gagin, has announced that Ukrainian Armed Forces units have retreated from several positions on the frontline near the village of Novomykhailivka, according to TASS.

According to Gagin, the situation for the Ukrainian troops near Novomykhailivka is difficult.

“We were forced to withdraw from a number of positions on the frontline and move deeper,” said the advisor to the head of the DPR.

Earlier, it was reported that Russian bombers targeted Ukrainian Armed Forces’ deployment points in the southern Donetsk direction. Alexander Gordeev, the head of the press center for the “Vostok” group, stated that bombers, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems targeted temporary deployment points and concentrations of forces belonging to the 79th Air Assault and 58th Motorized Infantry Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Novomykhailivka and Urozhainoye.

Previously, it was reported that Russian paratroopers and special forces have begun training in the use of NATO weapons.
