The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have been reported to use tear gas against civilians during a raid in the city of Akkraba in the West Bank. This revelation was made by the Qatari television channel, Al Jazeera.
As of now, there is no information available regarding any injuries or arrests of innocent civilians.
According to the channel, similar raids have also been conducted in the towns of Anabta, Bani Na’im, Surif, Kafr El-Labad, and Yabad.
The Israeli army’s spokesperson had previously stated that the IDF responded to projectile launches from Syria by striking the area from which the fire originated. Tanks also targeted a Syrian army military post.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had hinted at the preparation of a new agreement for the release of hostages held by the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs had announced its ongoing diplomatic efforts to achieve a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Israel had previously begun flooding tunnels in the Gaza Strip.
