Unmanned Drones Discovered in the Gulf of Aden, Prompting Concerns

In the Gulf of Aden, near the shores of the East African nation of Djibouti, two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were found in close proximity to a civilian vessel, according to information from the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) cited by RIA Novosti.

The captain of the ship, located 84 nautical miles (approximately 156 km) east of Djibouti, reported the repeated flyovers of the drones at a distance of 50 meters from the vessel.

In response to the incident, the British agency urged nearby ship crews to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity related to unmanned aircraft.

Earlier, a spokesperson for the Ansar Allah group, Yahya Saria, claimed that Yemeni Houthi rebels had targeted the tanker Swan Atlantic and the container ship Clara, which were allegedly connected to Israel.

Prior to this, the Pentagon deployed an aircraft carrier strike group to the Gulf of Aden in light of the recent attacks by the Houthi movement in northern Yemen on ships in the Red Sea.

Hamas previously stated that the West has erected an “impenetrable wall” between itself and the Arab world.
