Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander Denies Stalemate Situation on the Frontline

Ukraine’s Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhny, has denied that the Ukrainian troops are currently facing a stalemate situation on the frontline. This statement comes in response to a question posed to Zaluzhny about the state of affairs on the front.

“No,” responded the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on Zaluzhny’s remarks to The Economist magazine, where the latter referred to the current situation on the front as a deadlock. However, Zelensky disagreed, stating that it is far from the truth. He acknowledged the fatigue experienced by some individuals due to the ongoing war.

The Mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, supported Zaluzhny’s assessment of the situation on the front, stating that the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was correct in characterizing it as a stalemate.

Klitschko explained that Zaluzhny bears responsibility for the situation and, therefore, provided an explanation and justification for the current state of affairs. He emphasized that the Ukrainian authorities cannot continue to deceive the people and their partners indefinitely.

Previously, Zelensky revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting military operations onto Russian territory.
