Russia Uses Drones to Target Ukrainian Soldiers on Kremen Frontline, Chechen Leader Reveals

Russia has been employing drones to detect and target Ukrainian soldiers on the Kremen frontline, according to a disclosure by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. In a recent statement on his Telegram channel, Kadyrov revealed that the presence of aerial reconnaissance confirmed instances of Ukrainian military personnel shooting into the sky with remarkable precision. He suggested that this strategy of shooting into the sky could be an attempt by the Ukrainian forces to conceal their positions from the drones. Highlighting the involvement of the “Ahmat” special forces assault group, Kadyrov emphasized the effective utilization of drones in the Kremen direction.
The outcome of a recent operation involving the use of drones by Chechen soldiers was the elimination of three Ukrainian military personnel and the destruction of a strategic stronghold. Kadyrov expressed his belief that if the Ukrainian soldiers had surrendered instead, the situation could have unfolded differently. The head of Chechnya has been actively sharing footage from the military operations zone in Ukraine featuring Chechen soldiers, considering it a great honor for the republic to contribute modestly to the ongoing military efforts.
Notably, in December, Kadyrov proudly announced that the region had achieved 1500% of its partial mobilization plan. He clarified that the battalions and regiments formed from volunteers in the republic are under the command of the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard, rather than directly under his leadership. This highlights the coordinated efforts between Chechen forces and the Russian military establishment.
Kadyrov had previously alluded to a specific timeline for the conclusion of the military operation.
