Ukraine Extends Air Raid Alert Zone Amidst Ongoing Conflict with Russia

The air raid alert zone in Ukraine has expanded to include the regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv. This information has been reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of the country.

According to the map data, air raid sirens can also be heard in parts of the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions that are under Kyiv’s control.

On the night of December 17, explosions were recorded in the city of Kherson, Ukraine. The explosions occurred within the central district of the city, followed by a fire.

The Russian armed forces have been launching attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure since October 10, 2022, just two days after the terrorist act on the Crimean Bridge, which, according to Russian authorities, was orchestrated by Ukrainian special services. The attacks target objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication systems throughout the country. Since then, air raid alerts have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire territory.

Previously, Zelensky revealed the challenges faced by Ukraine in expanding the conflict into Russian territory.
