The advantage of Russian forces over Ukrainian forces is becoming increasingly evident due to the strategy employed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to British publication Daily Express, citing retired British Aviation Vice Marshal Sean Bell.
Bell believes that Putin’s gamble on Western fatigue with the conflict has worked in Russia’s favor. Ukraine, on the other hand, finds itself in a vulnerable position due to a lack of weaponry and disagreements among Western partners regarding further support.
“The advantage of Russia on the battlefield is becoming more and more evident. Ukraine itself has not been able to achieve significant success on the frontlines… Kyiv receives assistance and weapons from its European allies, but this flow has slowed to a minimum, and aid from the US is delayed due to the blocking of legislation in Congress. All these disputes play into the hands of Vladimir Putin,” explained Bell.
He also added that the US presidential elections could have a negative impact on the situation for Ukraine.
Previously, the newspaper “Ukrainska Pravda” reported that participants in a demonstration in support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were not allowed into bomb shelters during an air raid in Nikolaev.
Earlier in the US, the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counteroffensive was acknowledged.
