Israeli Army Discovers Hamas Tunnels Near UN School, Raises Concerns

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has recently uncovered three tunnels belonging to the Palestinian group Hamas near a school operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), according to a statement released by the IDF on their Telegram channel.

The IDF reported that near the school building, military personnel found components used for manufacturing rockets.

“In proximity to the UNRWA school, three tunnels used by terrorist organizations were discovered,” the statement read.

The IDF also highlighted that during a raid on an operational center in the Shujaiya neighborhood of Gaza City, weapons and explosive devices, including AK-47 rifles and grenades, were found.

It is worth mentioning that the military also discovered a 15-meter tunnel previously used by Hamas to carry out attacks on Israeli forces, which was subsequently destroyed with the assistance of the United States Air Force.

On December 15th, Jake Sullivan, the national security advisor to President Joe Biden, stated that the days of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar are numbered.

Prior to this, Israel had announced the timeline for victory over Hamas.

Earlier, a political analyst identified the cause of the escalation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
