Moscow, December 16 – Igor Borodaenko, the deputy head of the Krasnoyaryzhsk district in the Belgorod region, has tragically passed away in the hospital after being injured in a mine explosion, as announced by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on his Telegram channel. “Igor Vasilyevich passed away in the hospital during the night. Doctors fought for his life until the very end,” he wrote. The governor expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased and promised to provide assistance in any way possible.
The incident occurred on December 13 in the area near the village of Vysoke in the Krasnoyaryzhsk district, when a vehicle carrying civilians was hit by a mine. Later, Gladkov clarified that the deputy head of the district administration, Igor Borodaenko, sustained serious injuries. The second victim, Galina Pashchenko, the head of the administration of the Vyzovskoye rural settlement, suffered a foot fracture and soft tissue injuries to the head. The third victim, Nuriddin Agaliev, the driver of the livestock truck, was taken to the hospital with a closed skull-brain injury, as well as injuries to the chest and abdominal organs.
