Russian Artillery Holds Back Ukrainian Forces on the Southern Donetsk Front

Russian artillery units are effectively preventing the advancement of Ukrainian Armed Forces on the southern Donetsk front. A Russian military serviceman, using the call sign “Mikhail,” provided this information to TASS.

As a member of the “Vostok” group, Mikhail and his fellow fighters are engaged in combat near Ugledar, equipped with 82mm and 120mm caliber mortars.

“Our hits are accurate and we are targeting the enemy precisely. We are pressing the enemy, bombarding them with mines. They have no chance of progressing,” stated Mikhail.

According to the fighter, Russian mortar teams are highly valued targets for the enemy, so they constantly work on camouflaging their positions.

Earlier, a captured Ukrainian soldier named Ivan Matvienko revealed that his unit had suffered the loss of 43 comrades in just three days.

Matvienko explained that during the battles near Rabotino, out of the 48 soldiers deployed, only five survived until the end of the third day. Over the course of three months, he added, only ten out of his company’s 200 soldiers remained alive.

It was previously reported that Russian paratroopers and special forces have begun training in the use of NATO weapons.
