Israeli Ambassador Denies New Year’s Ceasefire in Gaza

The Israeli Ambassador to Russia, Alexander Ben-Zvi, has stated that there will be no “New Year’s” ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. This announcement comes amidst ongoing tensions in the region. Ben-Zvi emphasized that their main objectives are the destruction of terrorist structures affiliated with Hamas and the liberation of all Israeli hostages. He firmly stated that neither Israel nor Hamas celebrate Christmas during this time, as their New Year falls in September. Therefore, there is no reason to halt military operations.

In response, the Palestinian Ambassador to Russia, Abdelhafiz Nofal, expressed the determination of the Palestinian people to remain on their land and seek support from other Arab states and Muslims worldwide. Nofal affirmed that Palestinians will continue their fight for their rights to live on the enclave.

Previously, Russians who had left the Gaza Strip shared their experiences of living in the conflict zone. Their accounts shed light on the challenging conditions faced by those caught in the crossfire.

As tensions persist in the region, the international community closely monitors the situation in hopes of finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
