US Discusses Transition to More Targeted Operations in Gaza with Israel

The United States is in discussions with Israel to reduce the intensity of combat in the Gaza Strip and transition towards more targeted operations, according to a representative from the White House. The talks have focused on shifting from high-intensity clearance operations currently underway to lower-intensity actions with a focus on high-value targets and intelligence-based raids. The White House spokesperson stated that these discussions have taken place during meetings between the President and the Prime Minister, as well as through phone calls.

Currently, the United States’ National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, is in Israel. The White House representative believes that the operation to clear the Gaza Strip of Hamas will continue for an indefinite period of time.

Previously, US President Joe Biden called on Israel to exercise caution in the fighting in Gaza. While urging Israel to pay special attention to reducing civilian casualties, President Biden emphasized that he does not demand an end to Israel’s fight against Hamas or the cessation of its ground operation in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, Russians who have left the Gaza Strip shared their experiences of living in the conflict zone.
